| Proper Operating Procedures for Cut-to-Length Machines |
| Update Time:2015/8/3 9:02:11 Clicks:11674 |
As cut-to-length (CTL) machines become increasingly widely used, the number of operators continues to grow. For safety reasons, anyone who has not received proper training must first undergo systematic instruction before operating the equipment. This ensures correct operation, minimizes material waste, and — most importantly — safeguards personal safety. With this in mind, the editorial team at Dongfang Machinery has compiled the following operating procedures. Power On: Turn on the main power supply of the CTL machine, followed by the control power, drive power, servo power, and the power for the decoiler and shearing machine pump stations. Based on the finished product specifications, set the CTL line system parameters as well as the cross-cutting and slitting dimensions. If direct rewinding is required, set the corresponding parameters separately.
Material Loading: Load the material onto the CTL line according to the identification labels of the materials received. Process the raw materials with the earliest production dates first to achieve a first-in, first-out (FIFO) workflow.
Trial Run & Quality Check: Start the machine and feed the material for low-speed shearing of 3–4 sheets. Within the first five sheets, verify the dimensional accuracy of the servo feeder operation. Once the first piece passes inspection, proceed to mass production. During mass production, conduct random dimensional checks on the products at regular intervals.
